The most interesting type of ED solutions are the natural products. These products get much more attention and have much more customers than they actually deserve. These companies that sell the natural ED products sure know how to market their products and they manage to ship out lots and lots, especially when you consider that they are completely ineffective and that the only effects they can have are purely psychological ones (placebo effect).

And finally, we come to the main competitors on the market. Drugs that have been approved by the FDA for use in cases of ED and the only true medications for this condition that you can get. We are talking about Sildenafil (Viagra), Vardenafil (Levitra) and Tadalafil (Cialis) here. These ED drugs are very similar and yet there are a few reasons why Tadalafil is clearly the best among them, making it the ultimate ED solution. For one, the side effects such as headaches and flushing are much less common when taking Tadalafil than when taking the other two ED drugs. Furthermore, Tadalafil also lasts for much longer, which is the main reason why it is the best ED solution on the market. With its duration of efficacy that is manifold that of the other two, Tadalafil is clearly the winner and the finest solution for ED that you can get.

There are three main competitors on the ED drug market; there is Sildenafil (Viagra), Vardenafil (Levitra) and Tadalafil (Cialis. We have covered the differences between Sildenafil and Tadalafil in several articles and that is why we would like to compare Tadalafil with Levitra in this article.

These two medications have been introduced onto the market virtually simultaneously. Namely, Levitra was introduces sometime around September 2003, while Tadalafil was introduced several months after. At that point, it seemed that Tadalafil is at a disadvantage, seeming as the third wheel, so to speak, a latecomer that has missed its opportunity and whose introduction caused much less buzz than the introduction of Levitra. It seemed that Tadalafil is done even before it had its chance to say what it has to say.

And it turned out that it has a lot to say. It quickly became obvious that Levitra is not that different from Viagra in any aspect. Sure, there have been some improvements when certain side effects were in question, as the probability of these side effects occurring became smaller with Levitra. Also, Levitra was introduced as an improvement on Viagra when the duration of its effects are in question as well. However, this improvement could not be called dramatic, really. It added maybe one or two hours on the duration for which Viagra is effective.

Similar to that, it took people not very long to realize that Tadalafil is a whole different story. First of all, the marketing strategy was different, focusing on the partner and the satisfaction of the partner. It turned out that the reason for this was very simple. Namely, Tadalafil turned out to last significantly longer than the other two medications. In fact, it lasts four times as long as Levitra does, which is very, very important when the convenience and natural way of engaging in sexual activities are in question. All of a sudden, there was this medication that you could take hours and hours prior to sexual activity and it would still be effective. In addition to this, Tadalafil further decreased the chances of side effects occurring, making it the ultimate ED medication, not only superior to Levitra.

The closest analogue to this would be to compare Tom Brady and Al Pacino, trying to decide which of the two is better. The fact is that they are so different and so unrelated that the whole notion becomes moot. And there are several reasons why this is so.
First of all, the efficiency of these two kinds of ED solutions is so different that it seems pointless to even start comparing it. Tadalafil is a medication whose efficiency has been proven on many occasions. The FDA approval process, which Tadalafil passed, includes so much testing and so many clinical trials that it takes years and that only a few medications out of thousands manage to pass the approval process.

Tadalafil managed to do so, without any problems. This speaks volumes for the efficacy of Tadalafil.  On the other hand, we have natural ED supplements that are not required to pass any approval processes and that can be marketed willy-nilly, really.  This means, that in most cases they do not work at all. Also, it has to be noted that the manufacturing process and the quality of ingredients is much more controlled in the case of Tadalafil.

Now that we have covered the first issue, we must now try and explain why this question is raised so often then. The solution is in fact a very simple one, almost painfully obvious one. The marketing that natural ED supplements companies use is so aggressive and so extensive that it confuses people, starts to make them believe how Tadalafil is unsafe and how their products are the best choice merely because they are natural. We are also to blame for this, the general public, as we have become so obsessed with natural products that we tend to forget how much science goes into creating proper medications that actually work.

Namely, we are now so much exposed to sex and there is so much emphasis on the sexual life of an individual that it has become the most important thing on the planet. This, in turn, leads to men thinking that they all need to be Casanovas in the bedroom, capable of herculean feats. For men who suffer from ED, and there are many of them (estimated 30 mil. In the United States alone), this is simply devastating. Namely, occasionally or regularly (depending on the severity of their ED) unable to achieve erections, they start to feel like lesser men, men who are not complete and who will do anything to address this issue.

This is the reason that so many different companies and manufacturers are in the game.
The solutions that are on the market are many. For example, there are various pumps and physical devices that attempt to solve this problem simply by mechanical action. While efficacy of these solutions cannot be disputed, they are far away from being convenient and hassle-free, we can all agree on that.The next type of ED solutions are different natural products, such as herbal supplements and such. What you need to know about these is that the production and the efficiency of these products is not regulated by any regulatory bodies and that due to the fact that they are natural, they do not need to pass the approval processes in order to be marketed.

This, of course, means that the vast majority of them have absolutely no effect on erectile dysfunction and that even those that do are only negligibly effective.Finally, we have the FDA-approved ED medications, such as Sildenafil and Vardenafil which are the only proper competition for Tadalafil. Both of these medications are older than Tadalafil, Vardenafil only months older and their efficacy cannot be disputed. They work the exactly the same way as Tadalafil and they are very similar when it comes to contraindications and side effects that might occur. The percentage of successfulness is also pretty much the same for all three. However, there is one thing that separates Tadalafil among them and that makes it absolutely the best ED solution on the market and that is the duration of its beneficial effects. Namely, Tadalafil lasts for several times longer than the other two, which is why this medication is the superior one.

Levitra was the first of the two medications to join Viagra on the market and Tadalafil followed mere months later. This seemed like a big blow for Tadalafil, as it seemed that it was a latecomer that will have difficulties competing with the insanely popular and outright famous Viagra, as well as with the medication that beat it to the punch. However, as you will found out, the outcome was quite different.
First of all, we need to tell you that, in essence, these three medications are really not that different. The ways in which they treat erectile dysfunction are in fact the same. They enhance the blood flow into the penis by inhibiting the PDE5 enzyme and by allowing cGMP, another naturally-occurring chemical to relax and dilate the blood vessels which are responsible for leading the blood into the penis and causing erections. However, there are also many differences.

Namely, it turned out that Levitra is much alike Viagra, both when it comes to its selectivity, which is the main implication as to how probable side effects are, and also when it comes to the duration of the medication, which is perhaps the most important aspect of ED drugs. The improvement in the duration when Levitra is in question is nothing dramatic, maybe increasing the duration some 20% to 30%.
On the other hand, Tadalafil turned out to be a much superior medication and for a few reasons. The first reason is its selectivity. Namely, being more selective, Tadalafil is known to be less likely to cause side effects such as headaches and upset stomach which were the most common side effects of PDE5 inhibitors.  Another, and much more significant difference and improvement was the duration of Tadalafil.

Namely, Tadalafil usually lasts for about 24 hours, while some users have even reported beneficial effects 36 hours after taking the drug. This is something that simply cannot be ignored as it changes many things. It changes the way you actually see the ED medications, as Tadalafil can be taken so much before the actual sexual act that you in fact do not even need to plan sexual intercourse, which was one of the most important aspects and the most detrimental aspects of other PDE5 inhibitors, including Levitra.
Therefore, it can be concluded that Tadalafil is a much more exciting and beneficial ED medication than Levitra and a simple choice, indeed.

All of this changed in 1998 when Sildenafil was introduced as the first FDA approved ED medication. In 2003, Tadalafil made its debut as the third ED drug approved by the regulatory agencies around the world and it is without a doubt the most effective ED medication on the market now. The crucial thing to take from this part of the text is that it has been approved by the different regulatory agencies, including FDA.
If you are not acquainted with this approval process, it is enough for you to know that it is very comprehensive and extensive and that only one in about thousand medications that are applied for an approval actually gets it. This is due to the fact that the manufacturers need to provide a substantial amount of data that speaks for their medication and that the clinical trials and tests last for a long, long time and are specifically designed to prove the efficiency and the safety of these medications. No herbal supplement for ED is required to do the same and this is the biggest clue as to how much better Tadalafil is at treating ED.

The simple fact is that the efficiency of Tadalafil is not even in the same league with the efficacy of the herbal supplements. This is because the herbal supplements are nowhere near as efficient as Tadalafil. While the proper mechanism of action of Tadalafil has been scientifically proven and tested extensively, no herbal supplement can claim the same. They are mainly traditional ingredients rolled into a single pill that is supposed to hopefully do something for ED. In most cases, the efficiency of these products is negligible. However, due to aggressive marketing and advertising techniques, this fact gets muddled and people start believing how herbal supplements are a better option as they are all natural and as they cannot cause any side effects.

The way to explain the importance of these characteristics is to compare these herbal supplements to mere tea. Tea is also 100% natural and it will cause no side effects, but you would not consider it an ED treatment, right?
And this is just the tip of the iceberg as to why Tadalafil is so much better than herbal supplements. Let us only further mention that the manufacturers of Tadalafil are well known and reputable pharmaceutical companies as opposed to manufacturers that do not need to comply with any standards for producing the herbal supplements.

When natural products are in question, this is not the case. And this is, in fact, pretty much everything that you need to make a decision.
We have a medication, Tadalafil, whose mechanism of action has been explained in detail and that has been proven effective. The people who explained the effect of PDE5 inhibitors on the erectile function even got a Nobel Prize, for heaven’s sake. And now we come to the complicated part, or at least to something that seems complicated to answer. Namely, we start asking ourselves why these natural ED products are still on the market and who is buying them and why. It turns out, after all, that the answer to this question is also a simple one. The answer is marketing.
Namely, the companies that manufacture natural ED products have great marketing, especially on the internet where there are many different marketing strategies that can be employed. They emphasize certain aspects of their products, masking and hiding the fact that their products are in fact as much use in case of ED as bananas. They emphasize the fact that their products are all natural and that they do not cause any side effects.

While all of this may be true, it is also true for peanuts and you do not exactly take peanuts if you have erectile dysfunction. Everything that you need to keep in mind is that these are only marketing tricks.
Also, do not fall for the age-old story about how PDE% inhibitor drugs are dangerous for you and how you are going to go blind or how your heart is going to explode if you use them. Keep in mind that these drugs have been tested and trialed over and over again by pretty much all the regulatory agencies around the world and they have been found safe for use by all of them.

These are all reasons why the introduction of Viagra onto the market in 1998 was such a momentous event in the history of pharmaceuticals. For the first time, there was a medication for ED on the market that has been approved by the FDA for this very purpose and that actually did something for men suffering from ED< contrary to the natural products and unapproved medications that were used up to that point. For some time, Viagra was the only FDA approved medication for ED, but this changed in the year 2003, when both Vardenafil and Tadalafil were approved for ED as well. As Vardenafil is not that different from Viagra and as it is not as commonly used as Viagra and Tadalafil, we will concentrate on comparing these two more popular medications.

It has to be noted that these medications are essentially quite similar, almost the same. This is because of the fact that they work in the exactly same way. Being PDE5 inhibitor drugs, their mechanism of action includes the inhibition of the enzyme PDE% which is the most common culprit in erectile dysfunction cases.
However, they also differ in certain aspects and it is these differences that show that Tadalafil is a much better medication, on all accounts. First of all, some of the most common side effects of PDE5 inhibitors such as headaches, flushing and back pain are less likely to occur in patients who are using Tadalafil. This is thanks to the fact that Tadalafil is more selective than Viagra and that it has less effect on blood vessels in the body that are not in the genital region and responsible for erections.

A much more important difference and a much more noticeable one is when it comes to the duration of the medication. Namely, while Viagra’s effects are almost negligible after only 4 to 6 hours, Tadalafil is known to last for up to 36 hours. This may be only in the most extreme cases while the more common duration is somewhere around 24 hours. However, no one can argue that a 4 or 6-fold increase in the duration of beneficial effects is not significant. In fact, it is the crucial reason why Tadalafil is so much better than Viagra, the medication that had its moments but that seems a bit too lacking when compared with Tadalafil.

PDE5 causes erectile dysfunction by adversely affecting the levels and the efficiency of cGMP, a chemical that is released when the man is sexually aroused and which dilates the blood vessels which lead the blood into the sponge-like tissue in the penis known as corpus cavernosum.When cGMP is unable to do its job due to PDE5, the dilation of the blood vessels does not occur in sufficient levels for the erections to be achieved.PDE5 inhibitors such as Tadalafil and Viagra prevent PDE5 from doing its work, thus enabling erections to happen.Now we can get to comparing the two medications. First of all, we need to mention that Viagra was the first PDE5 inhibitor ever developed, the one that started it all and that caused the revolution in how ED is addressed and how the general public sees this condition. And for a long time, it had no competition. However, in 2003 Tadalafil was approved and introduced onto the market, which meant that there was a choice between the two.

And while Viagra is still, several years after the competition was introduced onto the market, the most commonly sued medication; it is the simple truth that Tadalafil is a much superior medication and an obvious choice when you are acquainted with all the details and the differences.The first difference is that the chances of developing certain side effects like headaches and flushing are much smaller when you take Tadalafil than when you use Viagra. This is due to the increased selectivity of Tadalafil, and the fact that it does not affect other blood vessels in the body as much as Viagra does.The second difference and a much more important one is that the beneficial effects of Tadalafil last for several times as those of Viagra, While Viagra wears off after about 5 or 6 hours, Tadalafil lasts up to 36 hours, which is an improvement that really seals the deal when it comes to choosing between these two ED medications

The problem of erectile dysfunction is one that has been affecting men since the dawn of time. There have always been men who have had troubles with achieving erections and keeping them long enough to complete the sex act. However, in the second half of the 20th century, certain lifestyle changes have lead to the percentage of men suffering from ED to become much higher. These changes include a less healthy diet, sedentary lifestyle, not enough exercise and similar changes. Still, how does one make the choice?
In fact, these three mediations are very similar as they work in pretty much the same fashion. Namely, all three medications affect the levels and the functioning of PDE5. PDE5 is a naturally occurring enzyme in the body, an enzyme which affects cGMP, another chemical whose job it is to relax and dilate the blood vessels responsible for leading the blood into the penis. When PDE5 is overactive or when there is too much of it, the blood vessels constrict and there is not enough blood getting into the penis to achieve the erection. PDE5 inhibitors, i.e. Sildenafil, Vardenafil and Tadalafil inhibit PDE5 and enhance the blood flow into the penis, thus enabling healthy erections.

The main differences between these two are the side effects that are possible when taking them and the longevity of their beneficial effects. All three medications are known to affect other blood vessels in the body, which leads to headaches, upset stomach, flushing and back pain. However, as Tadalafil I much more selective than the other two, it is less likely to produce side effects.
Also, much more importantly, Tadalafil works for much longer than the other two. While Sildenafil and Vardenafil last 4 to 6 and 6 to 8 hours respectively, Tadalafil is known to last for as long as 36 hours, which is much, much more. Still, it is more likely that the effects will wear off after 24 hours, but it is still a major improvement on the other two ED drugs.
As you can conclude for yourself, Tadalafil is an ED medication that is much superior to the other two, making it the perfect choice for your ED problems.
